What is the Difference Between UV Coating and Lamination for my Book Cover?
UV coating and lamination are both popular finishing options for book covers. They both enhance and protect your book covers but they serve slightly different purposes:
UV Coating:
- Offers a glossy or matte finish that boosts color vibrancy.
- Adds light protection against scuffs and fingerprints.
- More cost-effective for short-term use or one-time events.
Lamination:
- Provides stronger durability and resistance to moisture, tearing, and wear.
- Ideal for books that need to withstand handling over time.
- Gives a premium feel.
If you want a budget-friendly boost in appearance, UV coating is a solid choice. For a high-end look and added durability, lamination is the way to go.
